As a child, I was very interested in paranormal topics. Ghosts, aliens, psychics, “cryptids” like bigfoot or the loch ness monster. Everything grabbed at least a little of my attention. This of course resulted in me watching many TV shows that were about those things. One of them that caught my eye was “The X-Files”. That show had pretty much every pseudoscience subject ever imagined. Sadly I only caught some of the show here and there, probably in part because the alien-focused episodes were still a bit unnerving. Ah, the joy of past irrational fears.
Anyways, about 4 or so months ago I decided to finally watch the whole show, and to see every episode this time. So far I’m up to Season 6 and wow, it is a very different experience to watch it when you have actual knowledge about all the different subjects compared to watching it as a kid and just thinking “ooooh, neat.” This different outlook on the show has led me to notice some interesting things that I completely missed before, which brings me to the reason for this post.

As you can see, this blog is currently empty.
I’m not quite sure as to what exactly I’d like to do with this blog so until I am, new posts will probably be rather infrequent. If I can’t decide on a set topic, I guess I will just write about anything I might be thinking about at the time.
For the time being I’ll leave out any description of myself and what my interests and views on certain subjects might be. It should be very obvious once I get into blogging. As a hint, the title of this blog, Omnia Quaerite, means “question everything” (or so says allexperts.com). Such questioning should of course be done through properly applied skepticism and scientific knowledge/research, so you won’t find me advocating the various “woo woo” subjects out there.
While you’re here, leave a comment! I won’t be linking to this blog much (if at all) out there on the internet until I’m used to the whole blogging thing, so if you’re someone that I didn’t personally link to here, leave a message and tell me how you found this blog. I’m thinking the only attention I’d get would be a little from my updates being mentioned on the main page of Blogetery (if the list includes all blog updates, not just from the most popular blogs) so if you found your way here through some other means I’d like to know! (Call it simple curiosity.)
PS: Anyone’s “first comment” will need to be approved before it will show up, and after that their comments will not require approval. Seems like a decent way for me to limit any possible spam without too much hassle since this blog will only have a small number of readers for a while.
